This photograph of the Virginia War Memorial Carillon was taken in 2020, while I was shooting around Richmond. I used a prism next to the lens, which changed the focus and added the colors to the image. The Carillon is a musical instrument and a memorial to World War I heroes lost in "The Great War" with 53 bronze bells. It's a monument visible for miles around the city and sits in Willian Byrd Park —a favorite of citizens and visitors alike.
